SELF-SPONSORSHIP VISA

MORE ABOUT

SELF-SPONSORSHIP VISA

Self-sponsorship, a beacon of entrepreneurial autonomy in the UK immigration landscape, allows accomplished business leaders to helm their ventures without the prerequisite of a UK sponsor. This avenue not only paves the way for indefinite residency but also offers the prospect of British citizenship, extending its embrace to encompass both the principal applicant and their family.

Who might find this pathway favorable? Entrepreneurs boasting a track record of success in business, individuals who've pinpointed an enticing commercial prospect within the UK, or visionary minds teeming with innovative business concepts yearning to unfurl their potential on British soil.

For those who harbor the desire to wholly own, spearhead, and nurture their business endeavors in the UK, self-sponsorship offers an unparalleled gateway. It liberates individuals from the constraints of visa uncertainties, granting them the invaluable gift of unshackled existence in a foreign land – a sanctuary of entrepreneurial freedom and personal security.

DETAILS

Choosing the self-sponsorship route presents a compelling advantage for those eager to establish a thriving enterprise or extend their existing business into the vibrant landscape of the UK. It's important to note that while there isn't a distinct "Self-Sponsorship Visa," the method operates under the umbrella of the Skilled Worker Visa category, offering an entryway to the UK.

The Self-Sponsorship Visa UK path empowers individuals to create a UK-based company capable of sponsoring their immigration and employment within the country, facilitated by a UK resident Director. The beauty of this approach lies in the ownership of shares within the business, distinguishing it from the Innovator Visa by not imposing a mandatory minimum investment criterion.

Perhaps one of the most compelling attributes of self-sponsorship is the liberation it bestows upon business proprietors. It affords them the autonomy to efficiently operate and steer their enterprises within the bounds of the United Kingdom without the looming concern of visa revocation.

This visa avenue significantly appeals to seasoned entrepreneurs seeking to navigate the UK market or individuals who have diligently researched and identified promising prospects to initiate a new business in the region. To initiate the process, acquiring a Sponsor Licence stands as a prerequisite for the company to sponsor the applicant.

CRITERIA

The eligibility criteria for the UK self-sponsor visa encompass a set of qualifications that aspiring applicants must meet:

Proficiency in the Industry: Candidates should possess knowledge, skills, or qualifications relevant to the industry in which they intend to establish their business within the UK.

Business Concept or Identification of an Existing Company: The applicant must have a solid business concept or identify an established company in the UK that they aim to nurture and expand.

Financial Capacity: Essential financial resources are necessary to sustain and operate the envisioned company in the UK. There is no strict minimum or maximum investment requirement, but depending on the business's needs, the investment might range, potentially reaching up to £60,000.

Connection to a UK Resident: It is necessary for the applicant to have a connection with a British national who is a resident in the UK and can serve as the Authorising Officer for the application.

English Language Proficiency: Passing the Level B1 certified English language test is a mandatory requirement. Basic knowledge and competence in the English language are essential for successful application.

Meeting these criteria delineates the pathway for individuals looking to establish themselves as entrepreneurs in the UK, setting the foundation for their business endeavors while ensuring they possess the requisite skills, resources, and connections to embark on this journey successfully.

INNOVATOR founder VISA

MORE ABOUT

INNOVATOR Founder visa

The Innovator Founder Visa presents an opportunity for aspiring start-up entrepreneurs and seasoned businesspersons who wish to establish their ventures in the United Kingdom. One noteworthy aspect is that applicants are not required to possess a predetermined level of investment capital for their proposed businesses. However, they must possess a business idea that is both innovative and capable of scaling, along with a well-crafted business plan that has received endorsement from an authorized body.

In addition to having generated or significantly contributed to their business idea, applicants seeking the Innovator Founder Visa should also demonstrate their intent to assume a key role in the day-to-day management and growth of their business.

Upon approval, the Innovator Founder Visa grants a validity period of three years, and it holds the potential to seamlessly transition into indefinite leave to remain in the UK upon its expiration. Furthermore, successful applicants are permitted to bring their spouse or partner as well as any dependent children under the age of 18 to the UK.

For those with an interest in establishing a new business in the UK or currently owning an existing enterprise, it is worth considering the alternative option of applying for a Skilled Worker visa through self-sponsorship. This route allows individuals to be sponsored by their own UK company, enabling them to pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions within the country.

CRITERIA

To meet the eligibility criteria for the Innovator Founder Visa, it is essential to satisfy the requirements set by UK Visas and Immigration. These requirements include:

1.Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old.

2. Endorsement Letter: You need an endorsement letter from an approved UK endorsing body, confirming the following:

Possession of a business plan and either being the originator or having made significant contributions to the ideas within it.
Commitment to fulfill a day-to-day role in executing the business plan.

Possession of an innovative, viable, and scalable business venture.
The endorsement letter must be issued within three months prior to your Innovator visa application.

CRITERIA
